The most common and generally recommended method is a gradual transition. This involves slowly replacing portions of your baby’s current formula with the new Future formula over several days. This helps minimize digestive upset as your baby adjusts. Day 1-2: Replace 1/4 of the usual amount of formula with Future formula. (e.g., If you make a 120ml bottle, mix 30ml of Future formula with 90ml of the old formula).
Day 3-4: Replace 1/2 of the usual amount of formula with Future formula (e.g., mix 60ml Future formula with 60 ml old formula).
Day 5-6: Replace 3/4 of the usual amount of formula with Future formula (e.g., mix 90ml Future formula with 30ml old formula).
Day 7: If your baby is tolerating the transition well, you can switch fully to Future formula. Monitor: Watch for any signs of digestive discomfort or allergic reactions.

The shelf life is 2 years (24 months) from the date of production. Use by date is located on the bottom of each tin. The 2-year shelf life applies only to unopened tins. The tin can be used for 4 weeks once opened.

It is recommended to store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Avoid storing the product in humid or damp areas.

It is safer to prepare each formula bottle as needed and serve immediately after it is prepared. Discard unfinished formula within 1 hour. If a bottle of made-up formula is to be prepared in advance, store at the back of the fridge (2-4°C) and use within 24 hours. Discard any refrigerated formula not used within 24 hours. Always follow the instructions on the packaging exactly. Do not change proportions of powder except on medical advice.

When travelling, the best way to prepare bottles in advance is to fill the bottles with the correct amount of cooled boiled water/safe drinking water as per instructions on the tin. The milk powder can be carried in a separate airtight container, formula dispenser or simply use a sachet. The milk powder can then be conveniently added to the water at feeding time. Prepare each bottle immediately before feeding and discard any leftovers after one hour. If you are flying, you may not be able to carry more than 100mL of water, check whether the flight attendants will be able to supply water for you to make up your feeds.
